The provincial government has announced that eligible residents of the province can now submit an application under the Home Heating Supplement Program for 2024. That Supplement, which ranges between $200 and $500, is available to residents of the province whose adjusted family income for 2023 was $150,000 or less and who have directly incurred costs for the purchase of furnace or stove oil to heat their principal residence in the province.

Applications for the Supplement can be filed electronically, at Home Heating Supplement Program (Furnace and Stove Oil) (gov.nl.ca). Provincial residents who wish to file a paper application can obtain hard copy of the application form at Furnace Oil Supplement Application June 25 2024. All applications, regardless of filing method, must be submitted by January 15, 2025.
